The Ariocarpus Trigonus var. elongatus is found in Mexico and southern Texas. This Ariocarpus Trigonus var. elongatus cacti have the characteristics of the cacti that grow near the town of San Antonio in southern Texas. The Ariocarpus Trigonus var. elongatus is characterized by its long pointed and often flat tubercles. These can grow up to 5 cm long and grow when the cacti grow large in several layers on top of each other.

The flowers of the Ariocarpus Confusus appear in the autumn and have an intense magenta purple color. When the flowers are well pollinated, the seed berries become visible in the following spring.
