In nature, the Senecio Haworthii occurs in the small Karoo desert in South Africa. There this succulent grows in dry areas. This means that the Senecio Haworthii is not sensitive to drought and it does not mind if you forget to water it.

The Senecio Haworthii is nicknamed the Woolly Senecio. This succulent has been given this nickname because the leaves feel woolly. The leaves are protected by a white felty layer. The Senecio Haworthii has this layer for protection against the sun. This allows this succulent to withstand high temperatures and full sun for long periods of time. The flowers of the Senecio Haworthii are yellow and appear at the top of the stems.
