The Thelocactus hexaedrophorus is a beautiful cactus species that occurs naturally in Mexico. Here this cactus grows on limestone, hills and slopes in the Chihuahuan Desert.

Thelocactus hexaedrophorus is a slow-growing cactus that often grows solitary and rarely produces side shoots. The color of this cactus varies from olive green to gray green. Thelocactus hexaedrophorus does not make ribs, but has tubercles that grow long together. Her light brown long spines also grow from this. The new spine on top of the cactus often has a bright red color. When they get older they turn back to the light brown color.

The Thelocactus hexaedrophorus is an easy bloomer. This cactus usually does this for us in the spring. Its 4-5 cm white to pink-white flowers appear from the head of the plant.
