The Crassula Deceptor is a very finely shaped and beautiful succulent plant. You don't see this Crassula species very often. In nature, the Crassula Deceptor occurs in South Africa, in Bushmanland and Namaqualand. Populations of the Crassula Deceptor have also recently been found in southwestern Namibia. This Crassula Deceptor got its name because its shape and color are very similar to the stones that lie on the ground near the growth sites of the Crassula Deceptor. It is often very difficult to distinguish from these stones and thus prevents potential herbivores from eating it.

The leaves of the Crassula Deceptor are gray and white in color and grow on a small stem. The Crassula Deceptor is a small succulent plant. The stems grow to a height of 12 cm and 2.5 cm wide. From the head of this Crassula a flower stem grows in winter and a flower stalk in spring. The flowers of the Crassula Deceptor have a slightly sweet scent and are light purple in color.
