Information

The Kalanchoe bracteata is a nice succulent species that occurs naturally in the southeast of Madagascar. This Kalanchoe grows here in different areas. Often between rocks on slopes.

The Kalanchoe bracteata produces long trunks that regularly make small branches. The leaves are round shaped and have a green-gray color. They grow in pairs facing each other. When the plants get older, the lower leaves fall off. These are replaced by the new growth on top of the plant. This also makes its beautiful straight wooden trunks visible.

The Kalanchoe bracteata is an easy bloomer when the plants are older and have reached a height of 40-50 cm. The flowers grow on a stem between the top 2 leaves. They have a bright orange-red color and can remain open for up to 2 weeks.
