The Agave potatorum ''Kichijokan'' is a beautiful hybrid of the Agave potatorum. This hybrid originated in Japan. The Agave potatorum ''Kichijokan'' is a small agave species that eventually grows to 25 cm in diameter. The leaves have a green color with a light yellow edge on both sides. Rows of small brown spines run along the yellow edges. The tip of the leaves has a long central brown thorn.

The color combination of the leaves and compact growth habit makes the Agave potatorum ''Kichijokan'' a real eye-catcher. The Agave potatorum ''Kichijokan'' blooms once in its life. This happens when the plant is old and mature. The heart of this Agave then turns into a flower stem that can reach a height of several meters. Many bunches of yellow flowers then grow on these flower stems.
