Information

The Cleistocactus icosagonus is a unique cactus that grows wild in Ecuador and Peru. It grows in the valleys of the Río Rímac and Río Lurín rivers around Lima.

The Cleistocactus icosagonus grows with thick, spiny stems. These stems are dark green with beautiful yellow-brown spikes and often reach a height of 60 cm. They branch regularly, eventually forming a beautiful shrub shape. In nature, they do collapse under their weight, and then they continue to grow flat. New shoots then grow upward from the flat stem.

The Cleistocactus icosagonus blooms in early summer in our country. The flowers grow from the side of the cactus. They are cylindrical and red.
