Information

The Coryphantha elephantidens is a special cactus species. In nature, this cactus occurs in a large area in Mexico. Here, the Coryphantha elephantidens grows on large plains between the grass. The color of the cactus is dark green and the spines have a brown-yellow color. The Coryphantha elephantidens owes its name to the beautiful curved spines. The spines of this cactus are reminiscent of the tusks of an elephant. This is why this cactus has been given the name Elephantidens.

The Coryphantha elephantidens will flower in our country in spring and summer. The flowers appear between the wool that grows on the head of the cactus. The flowers can grow to 7cm, are yellow to pink in colour and have a red calyx.

The Coryphantha elephantidens makes many new side shoots. These new young cacti grow between the turberkels of the main plant.
