The Echinocereus Nippelianus is a beautiful compact cactus. In nature, this Echinocereus occurs in Mexico in the eastern part of the Sierra Madre mountains.

The Echinocereus Nippelianus has a dark green color and light-colored small spines. In the beginning, this cactus grows as an individual plant. Later, as it ages, new shoots will grow from the side of the plant. This way you get a beautiful cluster with these cacti. The Echinocereus cutpelianus produces a thick taproot underground. This cactus can store a lot of water in this to get through a long period of drought.

If the Echinocereus cutpelianus is happy with you, it will bloom in the spring. Beautiful pink flowers grow from the side of the cactus.

When this cactus overwinters in completely dry soil, the Echinocereus Nippelianus can tolerate temperatures down to -12 °C.
