The Espostoa Mirabilis is a beautiful cactus that occurs naturally in Peru. Here this cactus grows in dry and hilly areas. The Espostoa Mirabilis is a columnar cactus that produces long columns of 2-3 meters. It is not a fast growing cactus species. This is why it takes years for this cactus to reach this height. This Espostoa occasionally branches from the side.

The Espostoa Mirabilis has a green plant body. Her areoles are covered with white wool and at the top of the cactus the wool has a reddish brown color. The large spines of this cactus grow between the wool. The spines are white in color and have a black tip. The beautiful combination of colors and spines give this Espostoa its bad-ass appearance.

The Espostoa Mirabilis is not an easy bloomer and often only does so when the cactus is around 1.5 meters tall. A brown cephalium appears on one side. Her 5-6 cm large white flowers grow from this. The flowers of the Espostoa Mirabilis spread a slightly sweet scent.
