Information

The Euphorbia tirucalli is a beautiful Euphorbia species with a beautiful fresh green color. In nature, the Euphorbia tirucalli occurs in a large area in southern Africa. In nature, the Euphorbia tirucalli can grow into large trees of up to 5 meters.

The Euphorbia tirucalli produces elongated thin stems. These look very similar to a pencil. This is why the Euphorbia tirucalli is also called the pencil plant or pencil bush. The Euphorbia tirucalli is a very strong plant and can adapt well to many situations. This makes this Euphorbia almost indestructible and ideal for you if you really don't have green fingers.

The Euphorbia tirucalli not only has beautiful elongated stems, but also small, thin leaves. These grow on top of the new stems and fall off again as the stem grows longer.

The sap of the Euphorbia tirucalli is poisonous when ingested. However, it is often mixed with milk by the indigenous people as an antidote to many types of snake bites.
