Information

Ledebouria concolor is a beautiful bulbous plant native to the Eastern Cape in South Africa. This succulent grows in semi-arid areas and thrives in both full sun and partial shade.

Ledebouria concolor has large bulbs that grow partly above the ground. This is striking, as many bulbous plants remain entirely underground. The bulbs can grow up to 6 cm long and 4.5 cm in diameter. Five to ten leaves grow from each bulb. The leaves are medium green with no spots and remain relatively small, measuring 8 to 11 cm long and 4.5 to 6 cm wide.

What makes this succulent special are its large bulbs. They store water, allowing Ledebouria concolor to survive long periods with little water. This makes it perfect for dry conditions.

Ledebouria concolor blooms in summer, producing green flowers in upright clusters. These green flowers are subtle but decorative.

Ledebouria concolor is easy to care for and adaptable. The plant prefers well-drained, gravelly soil and should be watered generously in summer, followed by long dry periods. In winter, during its dormant phase, water it only sparingly.
