The Lithops dorotheae C300 is a beautiful and unique Lithops species. These Lithops from the site C300, 15 Km north of the South African village of Pofadder have a beige to beige brown color. The drawing on top is a brown-gray pattern, with red-brown patterns in between. The stones of these Lithops can grow to about 3 cm in size. If they are happy with you, the Lithops dorotheae C300 will bloom in the autumn. The bright yellow flower appears between the leaves.

Lithops species bloom in autumn with white or yellow flowers that appear from the stones. Once a year the stones change their leaves. The outer part comes loose and a new plant grows from the middle. The new living stones eventually become larger than the previous ones. So don't be alarmed if the stone suddenly splits open and a new stone comes out. There they grow in sandy soil and are often difficult to find. This is because the Lithops species often largely withdraw into the sand during dry periods, leaving only the top of the two leaves visible.
