Information

The Moringa oleifera is a beautiful tree species with a caudex-shaped trunk in which it can store a lot of water. In nature, the Moringa oleifera occurs in the northwest of India. The Moringa oleifera is also known as a miracle tree. Moringa oleifera has been given this name because all parts of the plant can be eaten and have medicinal applications. The leaves and fruits of the Moringa oleifera have a high nutritional value and are therefore widely eaten in areas where food is not always available. The immature fruits of Moringa oleifera are also often used in Asian dishes. The seeds of Moringa oleifera have a high oil content. These are eaten as nuts or processed into oil. The composition of the substances in the seeds have a purifying effect. As a result, they are also used to make polluted drinking water edible.

The flowers of the Moringa oleifera are yellow and white in color. These can also be eaten. When you cook them they taste like spinach. The flowers contain many minerals and vitamins. The flowers are also dried and then made into tea.
