The Senecio pendulus is a nice succulent plant with a special growth habit. In nature, this Senecio occurs in Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, Yemen and Kenya. Here this cactus grows in dry areas between rocks. Often at altitudes between 800 and 1200 meters. Little water falls in these areas. However, the humidity is very high due to sea fog. The plant gets a large part of its water needs from this.

The Senecio pendulus produces fleshy wavy stems. These grow, wave and twist into random shapes. This means that each plant has its own unique shape and growth habit. The stems have a dark green color with a light colored pattern on them. When the Senecio pendulus gets a lot of sun in the summer, the stems take on a red-purple glow.

The Senecio pendulus is an easy bloomer. She usually does this in the fall. A small flower stem grows from its stems with a bright orange-red flower attached to it.
