The Trichocereus Grandiflorus is a beautiful green colored cactus species that occurs naturally in Argentina. Here the Trichocereus Grandiflorus grows on rocky slopes and in dry grasslands. The Trichocereus Grandiflorus grows into a column of +- 90 cm high and 15 cm wide. The plant body of the Trichocereus Grandiflorus is colored in fresh green and alternates with beautiful yellow spines. These often do not grow longer than 1 cm.

The Trichocereus Grandiflorus owes its name to the beautiful flowers it produces. At the end of spring and at the beginning of summer, the Trichocereus Grandiflorus will bloom in our area. The flower buds first appear as small tufts between the spines of the cactus. The flowers of the Trichocereus Grandiflorus are bright red in color and can grow up to 10 cm in size.

The Trichocereus Grandiflorus is an easy-going cactus species that will quickly grow to your liking. Getting them to bloom is often a challenge. To do this, they need to hibernate in a cold place and receive little water in the winter. In nature it can easily cool down to -7 °C at night.
