The Uebelmannia pectinifera is a special cactus species that you do not often encounter. In nature, this cactus grows in a small area northeast of the Brazilian city of Daimantina. Here, the Uebelmannia pectinifera cacti grow in dry mountainous areas.

The Uebelmannia pectinifera is characterized by its bright black spines. They grow from its white woolly areoles on top of the ribs of the cactus. The cactus itself has a dark green to purple-green color.

The Uebelmannia pectinifera blooms in our country in the summer. Between the spines at the head of the cactus come its fine bright yellow flowers.
