The Aloe variegata is a beautiful Aloe species that occurs naturally in the west of South Africa. Here the Aloe variegata grows in rocky soil, often in the shade of other plants. The areas where Aloe variegata grows are often very dry. This means that the Aloe variegata can withstand long periods without water.

The Aloe variegata has elongated V-shaped leaves. These leaves are green in color with a pattern of white spots and lines along the side of the leaves. The Aloe variegata can grow into a large, robust plant of 30 cm high and 25 cm wide.

When the Aloe variegata is happy, it can bloom in spring, summer and autumn. A large flower stem grows from the head of the plant with all kinds of orange-red bell-shaped flowers attached to it.
