De Anacampseros filamentosa subsp. tomentosa is een prachtige vetplant soort die in de natuur voorkomt in Namibië. Hier groeit ze tussen kleine stenen op rotsachtige vlaktes.

De Anacampseros filamentosa subsp. tomentosa maakt compacte stengels waaruit haar grijsgroene bladeren groeien. Tussen en op de bladeren groeien vele kleine witte wollige haartjes. Dit geeft deze Anacampseros haar unieke uiterlijk.

De bloeitijd van de Anacampseros filamentosa subsp. tomentosa is in de herfst en winter. Uit de top van de vetplant groeit een kleine bloemstengel met daar een felle paarsroze bloem.
