Information

The Conophytum wettsteinii is a special miniature plant that is related to the Lithops. In nature, this Conophytum occurs in South Africa in the Namaqualand region. In this area the Conophytum wettsteinii often grows hidden between small gravel rocks. They only become visible when they start to bloom.

The Conophytum wettsteinii has a gray-green color with an indentation on top that is reminiscent of a mouth. If you hold this Conophytum in good light you will see small dark dots on top of the leaves. The Conophytum wettsteinii changes leaves once a year. The old leaf becomes wrinkled, brown and then cracks open. Her new leaves then grow below.

The Conophytum wettsteinii will bloom in the fall. Her fine purple-pink flowers grow from the center at the top of the leaf.
