The Pleiospilos Nelii Royal Flush is a beautiful purple variant of the green Pleiospilos Nelii. We do not find this variant in nature. The Pleiospilos Nelii originally occurs in nature in South Africa. There this succulent grows in the small Karoo desert on the border of the Eastern and Western Cape to the southern parts of the large Karoo desert.

This succulent is very popular because of the intense purple color of the plant body and the beautiful large pink to purple flower that appears between the two upper leaves in autumn. The flowers of the Pleiospilos Nelii Royal Flush usually open around noon and close when the sun sets.

The leaves of the Pleiospilos Nelii Royal Flush are very similar to those of a Lithops. The new leaves appear between the two older leaves that burst open. This growth habit has given this Pleiospilos the nickname cracked rock. Despite the same growth habit, Lithops succulente and Pleiospilos succulente are different species that also occur in the same growing places in nature.

The Pleiospilos Nelii Royal Flush does not quickly produce multiple plants. Old specimens only grow several new plants. However, it is not recommended to take cuttings. When this Pleiospilos has multiple heads, it will bloom more easily.

The Pleiospilos Nelii Royal Flush is an easy plant that does not require much care. In addition, this Pleiospilos is also resistant to temperatures down to -5 °C. For this, the soil in which the Pleiospilos Nelii Royal Flush is placed must be completely dry.
