Information

The Agave seemanniana subs. pygmaea is a beautiful and special Agave species that you do not often encounter. In nature it occurs in the Mexican province of Chiapas. Here this Agave grows between white limestone rocks.

The Agave seemanniana subs. pygmaea has a beautiful appearance. The leaves have a beautiful gray-green color. Many fine reddish-brown spines grow along the edges of the leaves. The end of the leaf turns into a thick reddish-brown spine. This color combination and fine thorniness give the Agave seemanniana subs. pygmaea its beautiful appearance.

The Agave seemanniana subs. pygmaea is a slow growing and small species. After many years, this Agave grows into a rosette of 25-30 cm. When this Agave is old and the end of its life is known, it will bloom. A long, thick flower stem with many yellow-green flowers grows from the heart of the Agave.
