The Epiphyllum Anguliger is a beautifully shaped cactus. Even though this nice plant doesn't look like a cactus, it really is a cactus. Due to the wavy shape of the leaves of the Epiphyllum Anguliger, this cactus is also called the saw cactus, zigzag cactus or fishbone cactus.

The Epiphyllum Anguliger saw cactus likes a bright spot, not in full sun. This makes this plant suitable for many places in the house. The saw cactus is very suitable as a hanging plant. In the beginning the leaves grow straight up. Later when they are +-30 cm long they will grow hanging. Ultimately, the leaves of the Epiphyllum Anguliger can grow up to 1 meter.

In nature, the Epiphyllum Anguliger occurs in subtropical forests in Mexico. This means that this saw cactus requires a little more water than a regular cactus and can be left in wet soil for a little longer.

Not only the leaves of the Epiphyllum Anguliger are beautiful. The flowers that appear in the summer also. These are large, up to 12 cm and cream white in color. They give off a slightly sweet scent. The flowers of the saw cactus remain open for one day.
