The Disocactus x mallisonii is a beautiful hybrid cactus, created by crossing Disocactus flagelliformis and Disocactus speciosus. This unique species combines the graceful, trailing growth pattern of its parents with striking, intense red flowers that give the plant a spectacular appearance.

The stems are long and graceful and can arch considerably, making them perfect for hanging baskets or high shelves. They have a fresh, bright green color with small, light brown spines that are sharp to the touch. New growth at the tips of the stems often has a reddish tinge, which later reverts to green as the stem ages.

In summer and early autumn, the impressive blooms appear: large, bright red flowers that create a beautiful contrast with the green stems. The flowers are striking in size and intensity, making Disocactus x mallisonii a real eye-catcher in any collection.

This cactus is very fragile, but because it's so popular and has such a beautiful appearance, we're happy to offer it. We pack these cacti as carefully as possible. However, it's possible that a few stems may break off during transport. Please keep this in mind when purchasing this plant. You can repot cuttings after about two weeks of drying. These will then continue growing from spring onwards.
