The Epiphyllum Anguliger is a beautifully shaped cactus. Although this fun plant does not look like a cactus, it really is a cactus. Due to the wavy shape of the leaves of the Epiphyllum Anguliger, this cactus is also called the saw cactus, zigzag cactus or fishbone cactus.

The Epiphyllum Anguliger saw cactus likes a light spot not in full sun. This makes this plant suitable for many places in the house. The saw cactus is very suitable as a hanging plant. In the beginning the leaves grow straight up. Later when they are +-30 cm long they start to grow hanging. Eventually the leaves of the Epiphyllum Anguliger can grow up to 1 meter.

In nature, the Epiphyllum Anguliger occurs in subtropical forests in Mexico. Because of this, this saw cactus wants a bit more water than a regular cactus and can stand in wet soil for a bit longer.

Not only the leaves of the Epiphyllum Anguliger are beautiful. The flowers that appear in the summer are too. These are large, up to 12 cm and creamy white in color. They spread a slightly sweet scent. The flowers of the saw cactus remain open for one day.
