Information

The Eriosyce taltalensis var. floccosa is a beautiful cactus species that occurs naturally in the Chilean town of Antofagasta. Here grows the Eriosyce taltalensis var. floccosa in inaccessible coastal mountain areas.

The Eriosyce taltalensis var. floccosa has a beautiful dark green color with large brown-black spines. Not only spines grow from its areolas, but also woolly white hairs. This gives the Eriosyce taltalensis var. floccosa its unique appearance. As this cactus gets older, more and more white hairs will grow. A sunny spot also causes the hair to grow more. When watering, it can help to water the plant from below. If you water from above, the hairs can wash away over time.

The Eriosyce taltalensis var. floccosa has a long flowering period. If she is happy with you, she will often bloom several times from late spring to early autumn. The flowers grow from the head of the cactus. They have a pink color.
