The Ferocactus Glaucescens is a beautiful and robust ball cactus. In nature it occurs in a large area in Mexico. Here this cactus grows in dry forest and hill areas

The Ferocactus Glaucescens has a beautiful gray-blue color. The spines of this cactus grow on top of its ribs and have a light yellow color. This contrast with the gray-blue color of the cactus gives the Ferocactus Glaucescens its beautiful looks. The Ferocactus Glaucescens can eventually grow into a large ball cactus of 55 cm high and 50 cm wide. This cactus takes many years to grow. When the Ferocactus Glaucescens gets older, it can occasionally form side shoots.

The Ferocactus Glaucescens is easy to bloom when you give it a really sunny spot in the summer. This Ferocactus can already start flowering when the plants are 15 cm in diameter. The flowering time of the Ferocactus Glaucescens is in summer. Many bright yellow flowers often appear from the head of the cactus.
