New to our range: baby Hoya plants. They're the odd ones out in our cactus and succulent collection. We already had the Hoya kerri and the Hoya carnosa compact, so now they have a few new friends.

The Hoya Sunrise is a beautiful Hoya variety. It produces thick, elongated leaves with a pointed tip. Its leaves are light green, and the veins are clearly visible. When the leaves of this Hoya receive a lot of sun, they turn orange-red. This protects them from the sunlight. The color is reminiscent of the glow in the sky at sunrise, hence the name Sunrise. The Hoya Sunrise produces thin tendrils on which its leaves grow. You can either guide these tendrils or let them hang.

Once the Hoya Sunrise is happy with you, it can bloom in winter and early spring. Its white flowers with a reddish rind emerge from its stems between the leaves. These flowers produce a slightly sweet fragrance.
