Information

The Lithops Hookeri is a beautiful Lithops species that occurs naturally in a large area in the Cape Province of South Africa. Here the Lithops Hookeri often grows in sandy and rocky soil. The color of the plant body of the Lithops Hookeri is lava brown. The dark brown markings are on top of the leaves. For a Lithops, the Lithops Hookeri can grow very large. Large plants can grow to 5-6 cm in diameter. The flowers are proportionately very small. They appear in our country in the fall and are yellow in color.

General information Lithops succulent

Lithops species bloom in autumn with white or yellow flowers that appear from the stones. Once a year the stones change their leaves. The outer part comes loose and a new plant grows from the middle. The new living stones eventually become larger than the previous ones. So don't be alarmed if the stone suddenly splits open and a new stone comes out. There they grow in sandy soil and are often difficult to find. This is because the Lithops species often largely withdraw into the sand during dry periods, leaving only the top of the two leaves visible.
