Information

Lithops salicola 'Malachite' is a unique and unusual variety of the well-known Lithops salicola. This species is immediately noticeable for its unique greenish color, which gives it an almost gemstone-like appearance. This is why it is called Malachite.

In the wild, this Lithops is native to South Africa. It grows there in an arid area, 10 kilometers west of the village of Luckhoff. It has adapted to blend in perfectly with its surroundings. Its two thick, fleshy leaves store water and protect the plant from the scorching sun.

The flowers are white and usually appear in late summer or autumn. They open in the afternoon sun and create a beautiful contrast with the compact, green leaves.

Lithops are ideal plants for collectors or enthusiasts of unusual succulents. They require little care, preferring plenty of light and very little water.
