Information

The Mammillaria decipiens subs. Camptotricha is a beautiful and unique cactus. In nature, this cactus occurs in the east of the Mexican state of Queretaro. Here it grows in dry desert areas.

The Mammillaria decipiens subs. Camptotricha has a fresh green color. It has protruding tubercles from which its spines grow. The spines of this cactus are long and flexible and grow just over the cactus. The spines have a light brown to yellow-brown color. This gives a nice contrast with the rest of the cactus. The Mammillaria decipiens subs. Camptotricha likes to form many new shoots. These grow from the side of the cactus. This way you get a nice cluster of cacti after a while.

The Mammillaria decipiens subs. Camptotricha is an easy bloomer. She usually does this in early spring. On top and on the side of the cactus grow many white flowers.

When Mammillaria decipiens subs. Camptotricha overwinters completely dry, they can tolerate temperatures down to -7 degrees.
