The Mammillaria spinosissima cristate is a beautiful and unique cactus. It's not often found in such beautiful shapes. The regular Mammillaria spinosissima grows in a spherical shape and forms large clusters of many plants.

This Mammillaria spinosissima cristate grows a little differently. It forms a thin comb-like shape. These combs intertwine in random, wavy patterns, giving this cactus a somewhat brain-like appearance.

This Mammillaria blooms in spring and summer, with numerous bright purple-pink flowers appearing on top of the combs.
