The Othonna capensis is a beautiful succulent species that occurs naturally in South Africa. This succulent can undergo a true metamorphosis. If you water this plant well and place it in a bright place, the stems and leaves will turn a fresh green color. But if you leave your hair in a really sunny spot with little water, this Othonna capensis will turn completely purple. First the stems turn a beautiful purple and later the leaves follow and the entire plant has an intense purple color. This purple color has given the Othonna capensis the nickname ruby ​​necklace.

The Othonna capensis has few care requirements. Do not water this succulent more than once every 2 weeks and always ensure that the soil has dried out after about a week. Due to its growth habit, the Othonna capensis is also ideally suited for a tall or hanging pot. The leaves of Othonna capensis are elongated and have a pointed end. The Othonna capensis can store a lot of water in these leaves and thus survive a long period of drought.

If the Othonna capensis is happy with you, she can also bloom. A small bright yellow flower grows from the stem.
