The Senecio articulatus is a beautiful and unique succulent. This succulent occurs in nature in the Cape province of South Africa. Here this Senecio grows in warm and dry areas. Often on plains on the coast between the rocks.

The Senecio articulatus makes small stems up to a height of 10 cm. Then the stem branches spring at the top and a new one grows again. This way you get small shrubs up to a height of 50 cm. The stems have a gray-green color. There is also a pattern of wavy stripes visible on the stems. The leaves of the Senecio articulatus grow from the sides and tops of the stems. These usually only grow on the upper stems. During the rest period, these can also die off. When the plant starts growing again, the leaves come back on the new parts.

The Senecio articulatus starts to flower at the end of the summer and in the autumn. From the head of the plant grow its white flowers on a small stem.
