The Astrophytum myriostigma cv. Hakujo Fukuryu is a beautiful Astrophytum Hybrid. This cactus species is not found in nature. It originated from breeding in Japan.

The Astrophytum myriostigma cv. Hakujo Fukuryu has a beautiful dark green color. A bright white line is visible on top of her ribs. These colors provide a beautiful contrast. This cactus produces many new side shoots from the areoles. Sometimes so much that after a few years the mother plant is almost no longer visible.

The characteristic white dots of an Astrophytum are mainly visible on the side shoots. This also applies to the Fukuryu part. These are additional ribs, smaller than the cactus' main ribs, that grow randomly from the sides of the plant. This gives you unique shapes. On the main plant we see one small rib growing here and there, but they are often more present on the side shoots.

The Astrophytum myriostigma cv. Hakujo Fukuryu is an easy bloomer. She usually does this in the spring and early summer. Beautiful bright yellow flowers appear from the top of the cactus.
