Information

The Delosperma echinatum is a special transplant that occurs in nature in South Africa. Here it grows in dry areas, often between rocks and in the shelter of other low plants.

The Delosperma echinatum makes small stems with many fresh green leaves. There are many light green hairs on the leaves. They look like thorns but do not prick. The shape of its leaves is reminiscent of a small gherkin. This is why it has been given the nickname Gherkin plant.

When the Delosperma echinatum is happy with you, it will flower in early spring. The flowers are yellow-white and appear between the upper leaves.
