The Echinocereus subinermis subs. Ochoterenae is a beautiful cactus species. It is the spiny subspecies of the Echinocereus subinermis. Which only has small spines. This cactus occurs in nature in Mexico. Here it grows at the bottom of mountain slopes in rocky areas.

The Echinocereus subinermis subs. Ochoterenae has a dark green color with many sturdy brown spines. When she is happy with you she will bloom in the spring. Her flowers grow from the areoles on the side. First a gray-green woolly and spiky bud develops. This later grows into a beautiful bright yellow flower.
