Information

The Eriosyce taltalensis subs. paucicostata f. viridis is a special cactus species with a rough appearance. In nature we find this cactus in the area around the Chilean port city of Antofagasta. Here this cactus grows between small rocks on mountain slopes.

The Eriosyce taltalensis subs. paucicostata f. viridis has a beautiful dark green color. Her spines are bright black and grow curved. The contrast of black on green gives this cactus its unique appearance.

If the Eriosyce taltalensis subs. paucicostata f. viridis is happy with you, she will usually bloom at the end of spring and summer. Its flowers grow from the head of the cactus. These first start as a piece of fluff on top of the hair areoles and then grow into a flower. The flowers grow to 3 cm in size and have a creamy white to light yellow color.
