The Euphorbia hamata is a unique and easy-to-grow succulent. We don't often encounter them. Yet, they grow wild across a large area of Namibia and South Africa, where they are a common plant.

The Euphorbia hamata has a fresh green color. It produces upward-growing stems with a serrated growth habit. The tubercles extend outward from the stems, from which new leaves emerge in the fall. When this Euphorbia is placed in a sunny spot, a pinkish hue appears on its stems.

The Euphorbia hamata blooms in late summer and autumn. Small, yellow-green flowers appear between the protruding tubercles.
