Information

The Euphorbia lugardiae is a beautiful green colored succulent plant that occurs naturally in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. Here the Euphorbia lugardiae grows on rocky plains between the grass and under small shrubs.

The Euphorbia lugardiae produces fleshy green trunks. The trunks have a scale-like pattern on the outside. Its thick, fleshy, elongated leaves grow on top, on which a light-colored vein pattern is visible. The Euphorbia lugardiae produces thick taproots underground. She uses this to store water to get through a long period of drought.

When the Euphorbia lugardiae is happy, it will bloom at the end of summer and autumn. White colored tubular flowers grow from the head of the plant between the leaves. Its flowers usually remain open for 1.5 to 2 weeks.

The leaves of Euphorbia lugardiae feel fleshy and are green in color. When the plant goes into rest, the leaves fall off. When the plant comes out of rest, it will grow again automatically.
