Information

The Euphorbia phillipsioides is a special Euphorbia species that you do not often encounter. In nature this Euphorbia grows in dry areas in Somalia. Here they grow on plains and hills, often between other low vegetation.

The Euphorbia phillipsioides has a brown-green color. On its ribs grow sturdy areoles from which its 2 thick downward growing thorns come. The Euphorbia phillipsioides makes small trunks that regularly branch from the sides when the plant gets older.

The Euphorbia phillipsioides starts to bloom at the end of the summer and the autumn. Between its spikes many small bright yellow flowers appear.
