The Euphorbia pillansii is a beautiful Euphorbia species that occurs naturally in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Here the Euphorbia grows in sandstone soil between small rocks.

The Euphorbia pillansii has a dark green color. A single thick woody center thorn often grows from its ribs. New leaves appear on top of the plant when the Euphorbia pillansii is growing. These usually dry up again after a few months. The Euphorbia pillansii likes to produce many new side shoots. These often grow at the center of the ribs of the main plant. This way you get a beautiful full cluster of this Euphorbia.

The Euphorbia pillansii blooms with us in spring and autumn. Many short flower stems with small yellow flowers appear on top of the plant.
