Information

The Gymnocalycium stellatum is a beautiful cactus species that occurs naturally in Argentina. Here this cactus grows in the provinces of Cordoba and Catamarca on sandy and rocky plains. Often between other small plants.

The Gymnocalycium stellatum has a green-brown to brown-gray color. Her thick light brown spines grow from her areoles. Some spines grow straight, others curved or have a wavy pattern. The Gymnocalycium stellatum is a slow grower and can eventually grow to a diameter of 10 cm.

If the Gymnocalycium stellatum is happy with you, it will bloom in spring and early summer. Her flowers appear on top of the cactus. They have a white color with a red calyx.
