New to our range: baby Hoya plants. They're the odd ones out in our cactus and succulent collection. We already had the Hoya kerri and the Hoya carnosa compact, so now they have a few new friends.

The Hoya rosita 'Red Maroon' is a beautiful Hoya species. It is a hybrid, resulting from a cross between the Hoya wayetii and Hoya tsangii. The Hoya produces thin, elongated leaves with a pointed tip. Its leaves are dark green but can develop a beautiful purple-red hue. This color often starts at the edges and then spreads across the entire leaf. The leaves grow on thin stems, also called tendrils.

Once Hoya rosita 'Red Maroon' is happy with yours, it can bloom in winter and early spring. Its dark red flowers emerge from its stems between the leaves. These flowers produce a slightly sweet fragrance.
