The Lithops fulviceps v. fulviceps 'Aurea' is a beautiful colored lithops species with a beautiful dotted pattern on top of its leaves. This Lithops species does not occur in nature, but was created through breeding in nurseries in the United States and Japan. The Lithops fulviceps v. fulviceps 'Aurea' has a beautiful green-yellow color with many small light gray dots on top of its leaves. The flowering period is in autumn. Beautiful bright white flowers grow between its leaves. This gives a beautiful contrast to its leaf color.

General information Lithops living stones

Lithops species bloom in autumn with white or yellow flowers that appear from the stones. The stones change their leaves once a year. The outer part comes loose and a new plant grows from the middle. The new living stones eventually become larger than the previous ones. So don't be alarmed if the stone suddenly splits open and a new stone comes out. There they grow in sandy soil and are difficult to find. This is because the Lithops species largely withdraw into the sand during dry periods, leaving only the top of the two leaves visible.
