The Lobivia aurea var. fallax is a beautiful thorny cactus. In nature the Lobivia aurea var. fallax in northern Argentina. The spines of the Lobivia aurea var. fallax are gray-brown in color.

The Lobivia aurea var. fallax grows into a sturdy cactus of 15 cm high and a diameter of 10 cm. The Lobivia aurea var. fallax not only has a whimsical appearance, but also produces beautiful flowers. These grow from the sides of the cactus. They first start as small gray fluff and grow into a flower of 10 cm.
