The Mammillaria gracilis cv. Oruga is a beautiful Mammillaria hybrid. This arose from breeding Mammillaria gracilis monstruose plants.

Mammillaria gracilis cv. Oruga is a small cactus species that eventually grows into a cluster of 20 cm in diameter. This cactus regularly produces new side shoots from the side. The Mammillaria gracilis cv. Oruga has a dark green color with white spines and woolly areoles. This color combination gives the Mammillaria gracilis cv. Oruga her beautiful appearance. On top the Mammillaria gracilis cv. Oruga no spines yet, only wool. The spines only grow out of the areoles later and often do not grow larger than 2-5 mm.

The Mammillaria gracilis cv. Oruga is an easy bloomer. If she is happy with you, she will bloom regularly in the spring and summer. The 1 cm large pink flowers then appear from the head of the cactus.
