Information

This is a beautiful Mammillaria cactus with a long flowering time. The flowers of this cactus are pink to purple in color and bloom in spring to summer. The flowers have a diameter of 12 mm and appear from the top and side of the cactus. In addition to the flowers, this Mammillaria is characterized by its intense dark green color. The variant Mammillaria Polythele var. Toluca has little to no spines and woolly areoles. This is a useful addition when repotting this Mammillaria. In nature, Mammillaria Polythele can be found in the United States in the regions of Mesa, Phoenix and Tucson in the state of Arizona. This Mammillaria cactus grows in a steppe area where it is shaded by other plants. At an older age, the Mammillaria Polythele var. Toluca reach a height of 25 cm with a diameter of 12.5 cm.
