Orbea Variegata is a uniquely shaped succulent plant. In the wild, this Orbea Variegata is found in the Western Cape of South Africa and grows actively during the winter rainy season. The Orbea Variegata forms clusters and grows to a maximum height of 10 cm and a diameter of 50 cm. It is a leafless succulent. The stems are serrated, giving them a cactus-like appearance. The flowers of this Orbea are highly variable. They are off-white to yellow with maroon speckles and can reach a diameter of 8 cm. The flowers are star-shaped. Each Orbea Variegata can produce up to five flowers. The flowers can have a faint vinegary scent to attract potential pollinating insects. In short, a very attractive succulent plant from South Africa.
