Information

The Titanopsis hugo-schlechteri is a beautiful small succulent plant that occurs naturally in South Africa and Namibia. Here the Titanopsis hugo-schlechteri grows in sandy and loamy soil. Often largely withdrawn into the earth during a long dry period.

The Titanopsis hugo-schlechteri produces small gray-green leaves that end in a convex triangle shape. On top of this triangle there are all brown dots. These dots look a bit like warts. This is why Titanopsis species are sometimes called wart plants.

The Titanopsis hugo-schlechteri is a turf-forming plant and grows over the years into small clusters of 10-15 cm wide. When Titanopsis hugo-schlechteri is given a very sunny spot in spring and summer, its leaves turn a beautiful purple-pink.

The Titanopsis hugo-schlechteri will bloom with us in autumn and winter. Beautiful yellow flowers grow between the upper leaves. The flowers usually open in the afternoon and grow to 2 to 3 cm in size.
